I am a Gambian and a trained teacher with both Primary Teacher's Certificate[PTC] and Higher Teacher's Certificate[HTC]. I did all my courses in English, because The Gambia was a former British colony and English is our official language. Now, do I also need to be tested on my English language skills? Presently, I teach English at Mingdaw Senior and Upper Basic School and I am the head of Grade 8 Block.
